January 30       The Grand Rapids Songwriters Alliance Original music - born, bred & fed in West Michigan

Grand Rapids Songwriters Alliance

Back for a return engagement, GRSA is a fun, loose community of West Michigan singer/songwriters. Founded in 2004, this is the only songwriting cadre of its kind in the Grand Rapids area. In a Nashville-style writers’ round performance, each of 4 members will take a shot at playing their own original songs, occasionally ccompanying each other en route.
GRSA is represented this year by Tim Perry and Jeff Oxford – group founders and frequent songwriting collaborators.
Paul Emery – a story-teller extraordinaire who will have you both laughing and crying, often within the same song.
David Piell – a masterful guitarist and songwriter of unique and powerful insight.
This evening of original music will traverse a number of genres from acoustic folk and country to blues and rock in a memorable, one-of-a-kind performance.
The public, and any closet songwriters, are welcome and encouraged to take part in GRSA’s monthly meetings at the Alpine Schulers Books & Music store. Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Contact Tim Perry for more details: tperry123@att.net.
